Organic Constipation By Herbal Remedies

There are two basic types of constipation - organic and functional. Organic constipation is a result of some physical change, obstruction, or distortion in your colon. This type of constipation needs immediate attention from a doctor. This article only covers Functional Constipation. This type of constipation is a result of not following a proper diet, drinking enough fluids, having good emotional health and not having a good lifestyle, a lifestyle that promotes good movement of digested foods through the intestines and colon.

Even though there are many definitions for constipation, constipation is simply a condition where the fecal matter traveling through your colon remains too long in your colon before traveling out the rectum. Constipation is a symptom and not a disease. It is a condition that tells you your colon is not working properly or that you have some underlying gastrointestinal disease you are not aware of.

Constipation may be a warning that your diet and lifestyle are causing an imbalance in your body. It is a symptom that many people ignore or that many people try to eliminate by using unnatural and oftentimes dangerous drugstore laxatives. Drugstore laxatives should be avoided when you have constipation. They can become habit-forming, damage your colon, and have nasty side effects if used too long.

They sometimes have the tendency of creating the problem you are trying relieve - constipation. To keep your body in chemical balance, it is important to use only natural remedies for constipation. Natural remedies such as herbs and foods bring into the colon those nutrients that can build up your colon and reactivate your natural peristaltic action. As you use natural remedies, keep in mind that one particular remedy may not work for you. You may have to try a different remedy or increase dosage of the one you are using.

If you supply what your body needs by using a specific remedy, then you will get results from using that remedy. Experimenting is part of finding out what remedy is best for you. There are many different natural remedies you can choose from. Look on the internet for "natural remedies for constipation" and you will find many listings. Keep in mind that most remedies should be used only for a short time, two to four days and not longer than 2 weeks.

They should only be used for the time needed to clear your constipation. This might be just 4 or 5 times or sometimes it may take several weeks. Herbal for Stomuch Ache

Adults know all too well the importance of having stomach ache remedies to ease discomfort from time and we all may have a favorite trick that we use on days when we don’t feel up to par. However, when it comes to kids, some of the stomach ache remedies aren’t really helpful. Following are some ideas to help you with a child’s troubled tummy.

Herbal Teas

Nausea is never pleasant and when you know that your child is feeling ill you want to do everything that you can to make things better. Many over-the-counter medications used to ease stomach pain aren’t well accepted by youngsters. Even some stomach ache remedies made for kids may leave your little one running in the other direction.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a handful of natural stomach ache remedies to use when you don’t have and medicine on hand? Wouldn’t it be even better if those nausea remedies were well received by your child? Of course you want your little one to feel better as soon as possible and with as little struggle as possible.

If your child will drink tea, you have a couple of solutions at your fingertips. Keep a stock of Chamomile tea on hand. This tea is a natural stomach ache remedy that is a pleasure to drink. Your child will be feeling better in a few minutes after having some of this calming tea and after getting a little rest.

Peppermint tea is another natural stomach ache remedy appreciated by people of all ages. I personally prefer drinking Chamomile tea because the peppermint flavor doesn’t seem to go with a beverage but this is just a personal preference. If I’m feeling ill, I don’t mind a cup of peppermint tea at all.

There is a drawback to using these natural stomach ache remedies. They take some time to prepare. The tea needs to steep for about 20 minutes to reach the right potency to do the trick. This may be a little too long for some parents to wait.

If you don’t want to wait or if your little one won’t drink tea you might want to try peppermint candy. A regular old candy cane is a surprising stomach ache remedy that many moms use for morning sickness. This tasty treat can be used on little tummies as well.

When medications aren’t available or not well-received, it’s nice to know that a little peppermint will help ease your child’s discomfort. Feeling under the weather is never fun but it is worse when your child is uncomfortable.

Herbal solutions to teenage acne

Argh. Another pimple, and right before your date with the cute guy in biology class! Acne is very common for teenagers, but somehow it seems that you’re the only one to suffer from it. Acne, especially severe acne, is very hard on teenager’s self-esteem. If you go to the drugstore you can find a lot of products to help, but do you know what the pharmaceutical companies put in them? Often they use toxic, abrasive ingredients that you don’t want on your skin. But happily, there are some natural acne treatments that you can find in natural health stores, specialized skincare stores or even some drugstores.

The first thing you need to do when you start a new acne treatment regimen is to go meet with your doctor. If he or she deems it necessary, they will refer you to a dermatologist who will be able to give you the best advice. So make sure you do this before embarking on any skincare or supplement program.

A few ingredients have proven their effectiveness. Taking a vitamin A supplement can help your skin from the inside. Vitamin A is the ingredient found in the strongest anti-acne medications, but you don’t need to get a prescription. For mild acne, a simple supplement will suffice. To apply directly on your skin, buy products with tea tree oil (otherwise called meulaleuca). Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties that will help get rid of the zit-causing bacterias on your skin. To help with redness and inflammation, you can use aloe-vera based products or calamine powder mixed with a little water. Both of these ingredients will help with redness and inflammation and will make that zit disappear in a pinch.

There are other supplements you can take: zinc and vitamin E have also been proved to help with overall skin health, even though they don’t necessarily counter acne directly. But to help with your pimples, you need to make sure you skin is as healthy as possible, so feel free to use those as well as vitamin A.

There are a few more common sense acne-fighting tips that most acne reviews will mention. First, don’t touch your face. Your fingers carry bacteria and dirt that will cause more pimples. It might be difficult to stop using make-up to hide your imperfections (and I was a big make-up user myself when I had acne), but your acne will heal much faster if you let your skin breathe and be make-up free. Have a healthy diet full of fruits and leafy vegetables, and avoid processed, sugary or fat foods. Sometimes dairy can cause acne breakouts in some people. Exercise regularly; the sweat will detoxify you skin and help make it clearer. Yoga is great to your skin, and there are some breathing exercises specifically for skin clarification.

In conclusion, there are a lot of natural, toxic-free ways to deal with acne. Keep up a healthy lifestyle, use a daily regimen of supplements and proper skin scare, avoid make-up as much as possible, and most of all, learn to love yourself the way you are. If you are like all normal teenagers, the acne should clear up by itself by the time you reach adult age.
